Dilated Cardiomyopathy - DCM - II
Anormal adult heart (left) is compared to a dilated cardiomyopathy heart. The atria and ventricles are dilated. There is also a patches of pericardial thickening (white) on the anterior right ventricle and towards the apex of the left ventricle.
Comparison of a normal heart to a dilated cardiomyopathy heart readily shows a gobular shape with dilatation of the chambers.
