Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy - HCM II

This image shows a mid-septal type of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Note the marked discrepancy in thickness betwee the interventricular septum and the free wall of the heart.

The histologic features of myocyte disarray and small intramural coronary artery dyplasia are also present in the mid-septal and apical types of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
