Glycogen storage disease – adult.
The hematoxylin & eosin stain shows marked myocyte hypertrophy with bizarre
myocyte nuclei present. The arrows point at eosinophilic inclusion
present in the myocytes. The intra-sarcoplasmic inclusions are distinctly
different from red blood cells (black arrows).
