Acute Cellular Rejection - Grade 3R

The endocardium can also be involved in cases of severe cellular rejection. The images below show mononuclear infiltrates in the endocardium, accompanied by interstitial edema.   The pathologist should not confuse these infiltrates with the Quilty type infiltrates.
