Myocardial Infarct - Acute Transmural
The myocardium shows a yellow demarcation between the viable subepicardial myocardium and infarcted subendocardial myocardium on the left. The infarct becomes transmural on the right side of the field. The paler yellow border represents the zone of maximal infiltration of neutrophils at 2-3 days.
