Myocardial Infarction - Acute - Hypereosinophilia of myocardial fibers

Hypereosinophilia of the myofibers (cardiac myocytee sarcoplasm) can be easily detected on examinaiton of H&E stained sections. It may not show frank coagulation necrosis. It may be accompanied by other changes such as wavy fibers (myofibers) as shown in this example.
