AV Node
This micrograph shows the AV node. It is subjacent to the endocardium of the right atrial septum, just above the insertion of the septal leaflet of the tricuspid valve. To the anatomical left of the AV node is the central fibrous body of the fibrous annulus of the heart. A detailed histologic view of the AV node is shown here.
