Hemangioma
This image shows a congenital hemangioma in the subcutis of the scalp. The tumor was large (about half the size of the head. It produced acute heart failure of the individual after birth. The tumor shows large and small caverns filled with blood. Its blood supply was from branches of the carotid artery and its venous return was into the jugular and innominate veins.Hemangiomas can also occur in the heart, both as atrial hemangiomas or ventricular hemangiomas.
