Pericardial Tumors - Malignant - I
This image shows a pericardial malignant mesothelioma. Note the white tumor surrouning the heart and great vessels in their intrapericardial segments. There is no involvement of the pleura of the lungs, thus indicating that this is a primary pericardial tumor. The rectangle marks an area of compression of the superior vena cava and trombosis of this vessel in its extrapericardial portion.
